The catalan tennis player, FRANKY MONTAÑES, who is training in PRO-AB TEAM TENNIS ACADEMY, is the new under-16 Spain Champion 2006, after playing an amazing match against the great favourite Andoni Vivanco, in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). In the matches before the final he played against Carlos Gómez (64 63), Roberto Ortega (64 63), Edgar Pallarés (64 61) and Jordi Samper in Semifinal (26 62 64). The final against Andoni Vivanco was a fighted match because both tennis players base their tennis in a potential service and a high rythim at the bottom of the tennis court. Franky won the first set by a gripping tye-break and the second set, Franky with the self-confident of the first set by his side, played an spectacular tennis getting the final by a clear 61. With this victory, Franky ends a wonderful season for him. He began to play tennis at the age of 7 years old and he had been developing his training in the PROAB TEAM TENNIS ACADEMY during the last 9 years. There is the curiosity that Franky is the young brother of Albert Montañés, spanish player who is Top-100 during the last 5 years.

Albert Portas won playing an amazing match against Juan Carlos Ferrero (seed number 2) in the first round of the UMAG ATP Tournament, by 76 67 75. In second round of the tournament, Albert Portas will play against the Czech player Jan Hernych.

The PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, Franky Montañés, was the Champion of the MARCA HARIBO TOURNAMENTS in Madrid (played in CT Chamartín) and in Zaragoza (Stadium Casablanca), playing with authority in both tournaments. In the last final, (Madrid, 22nd of July), he won by 64 61 against Edgar Pallarès, and with this result he is Champion of the tournament without losing any set in all the Championship. In the Zaragoza tournament final, he won against Jordi Samper by a fighted match ended by 75 in the 3rd set.

The sevillian PROAB TEAM Tennis Academy player, Estrella Cabeza, had won the ITF-WTA 25.000$ Valladolid Tournament. Estrella, who played an excellent tennis during all the week, won the Final against the Australian player Monique Adamczak (seed number 6) in a fighted final by 26 76 75 in which Estrella was losing by 52 in the third set. Albert, won in a amazing and feeling match to one of the favourite players of the Tournament, Carlos Moya by 26 76 64. After a first set dominated by Carlos Moya, Albert Montañes began to play his best tennis until winning the match by a incredible third set by 64. The catalan tennis player had got into the quarter final where he will play against Nicolás Almagro. By the female draw, Laura Pous won the 3rd seed tournament player. The catalan tennis player, Albert Montañes, got last week get into the final of the ATP Acapulco Championship, after playing a wonderful tournament. This is the third final that the PRO-AB TEAM tennis player plays since his professionality on 1999. At his 24 years old, Albert, is number 62 of the ATP Ranking. The young PRO-AB tennis player, Sandra Soler with only 14 years old, passed through the qualy of the WTA Tortosa Tournament (10.000$) at the beginning of May. This had been the third WTA Tournament where Sandra had got points and that's why she had obtained WTA ranking. She lose in the Tortosa match against the seeded player number 2 Joana Cortez, by 75 62, in a disputed match. Laura Pous lost in semifinals against the big favourite of the WTA PRAGA Tournament gifted of 140.000$, Dinara Safina. The young tennis player, Sandra Soler, incorporated recently in the PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy, got, on October, play the final of the Master Nike Junior Tour in the under-16 category, losing in the final against the player Yera Campos by 63 76 in a very fighted match. In this great tournament, Sandra won Rocio de la Torre and Carmen Lopez Rueda in the firsts rounds.

Albert Portas, on 18th of December, won the 98th Edition of the Cataluña Senior Championship, triumph "Joan Margets y Ferrer "in memoriam"". The PRO-AB TEAM tennis player won Didac Perez in the final by 75 61 after winning a 5 to 4 against Albert. We would like to outstand that Albert Portas, did not lose any set in all the Championship.

18th of December 2004, PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, Laura Pous, won the Senior Cataluña Tournament after winning in the final Gabriela Velasco by 75 62. Once again, Laura, showed a beautiful play and the strenght in difficult moments of the match.

Sandra Soler, last saturday 26th of March of 2005, had proclaimed winner in the Cataluña Under-16 Championship, played in CT Llafranc, Girona. The young tennis player of PRO-AB TEAM, that she is not 15 years yet, had not lose any set in all the tournament where were playing the best female tennis players under-16 of Spain (who had catalan license card to play) showing her big potential and future projection.

Nuria Roig Tost, PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, got into the semifinal of the Spain Championship 2004, with her victory against Suhalia Jad by 46 62 63 in first round, in second round against Anna Font by 75 63, in quarters she won Mª Antonia Sánchez (num. 1) by a clear 63 63 and she lost in the semifinal against Marta Fraga by 61 46 61.

The PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy player, Anna Font, won the Spain Doubles Tournament 2004 with Carla Suarez, after their victory in the final against the couple Marta Fraga and Lourdes Pascual by 36 64 62.

The PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, Laura Pous, had got the classification to got into the Final of the Coatzacoalcos (Mejico) WTA Tournament After being Biarritz (France) WTA Tournament runner-up, Laura had got into a new Final, after her win against R. Kuzercova (CZE) by 64 36 63 in first round, against A. Rolle (USA) by 75 62 in second round, against E. Fauth (AUT) by 62 67 64 in quarter final and in semifinals against J. Nguyen (USA) by 63 and abandonment. The final will be played against the american player, J. Kirkland. In the same tournament, the PRO-AB TEAM Tennis player, Nuria Roig, after winning the qualy, she got into the second round that lost against J. Nguyen by 62 61

PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy had signed an agreement with the new managers Santa Cristina Tennis Club to direct all the club's sportive area. This means the management of all the teaching programs, summer stages and sportive event's organization during all the season. Santa Cristina Tennis Club owns a magnificent installations in a privileged area in the middle of the Costa Brava.

The PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, Albert Montañes, had win Albert Costa in the first round Trofeig Comte de Godó 2004, ATP Tour. Albert Montañes, had been playing in a high play rythim and he had win the first set by 64 and he had got advantatge until 40 in the second set. The PRO-AB TEAM'S Tennis Player, had been the tournament's revolution because she got into the final coming from the qualifying. The PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy player, Albert Montañes, lose in first round in the Buenos Aires ATP Tournament against the third favourite principal player of the Championship, Nicolas Massu, by an easy 6/1 6/3. Albert Montañes will play, in the next weeks, the Brasil and Acapulco ATP Tournaments before he begins his European Tournaments.

The PRO-AB TEAM tennis players Anna Font and Alba Berdala, had won the 2 latest National Tournaments of the Catalan Tennis Federation Absolut Championship that had taken place in the Barcelona Tennis Olimpic and Complejo Deportivo del Hospitalet, respectively. Anna Font won against Laia Santamaria for an easy 6/1 6/3 and Alba Berdala won against the same tennis player Laia Santamaria in 3 disputated sets. Both tennis players are from the PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy female group.

During last week took place the Catalan Tennis Federation Master of the Absolut Tournament. In this tournament just play the best 8 tennis player classified in the year. Alba Berdala, PRO-AB TEAM tennis player, win the tournament against Cristina Bala by 6/2 6/3. During the tournament, Alba win in 1/4 and semifinal to Sonia Iñigo and Rebeca Bou respectivament. We would like to outstand that 4 of the 8 tennis player of the tournament are from PRO-AB TEAM.

Last week, the PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy player, LAURA POUS, won her first WTA Tournament against Adriana Gonzalez, in the final. The match was very disputed, it is showed in the result, three sets 6/2 3/6 6/3. This is the first time that Laura Pous wins Adriana Gonzalez.

Albert Montañes got into the ATP Final that took place last week in the Club de Tennis Bonasport, in Barcelona. His rival was Albert Portas, who win 6/4 6/4. To get into the Final, Albert win a Yoann Villar 6/3 6/0, a J. Viloca 1/6 7/5 7/6, Federico Browne 6/2 7/6, Nicolas Almagro 6/4 6/2 in an excellent match in which Albert showed a high tennis level.

The match was decided by the third set for 6/1. To arrive at the Final of the Tournament, she won players, like Anna Font and Mª Pilar Escandell.

The following monday, 30th of June, PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Academy begins a new edition of the National Summer Tennis Stage organized by our Tennis Academy. The players that are inscribed in the Stage are from a lot of different countries and each player outstands on his tennis level. Also a wide number of national tennis players from all the Spain points, will take place in the Summer Stage. The Stage will be developed during the july and august months and all these players will take place in a wide training and competition plans and a lot of sportive and extra sportive activities.

The PRO-AB TEAM Tennis Player, Albert Montañes, will play, tomorrow, tuesday, against the german player Lars Burgsmuller, in the Wimbledon Grand Slam Tournament. If Albert wins, he will play against one of the favourite tennis players to reach the Tournament Title, Andre Agassi.

Albert Montañes lost in the final ATP Tournament in Prague in a very dispute match against S. Schalken (20 ATP). The match was decided in the third set by 6/4. To get at the final of the tournament, Albert won, among others, A. Portas and Franco Squillari in two great matches.

The young tennis player of PRO-AB TEAM, Alba Berdala, had won the last two National Tournaments that had taking place in Cataluña. The first of them, was the tournament that took place in the Club de Tennis Barcelona-Teià, in which Alba won against Cristina Bala in the final for a clear 6/2 6/3 The second tournament took place, last week, in the C.T.L'Hospitalet installations, in which Alba Berdala won against Gala Gasset in the final for 6/2 6/3.

FILA will be the sponsorship of all the PRO-AB TEAM staff and at the same time will offer the possibility of getting "sportive clothes packs" at excellent prices to all the Academy's tennis players. PRO-AB had got an agreement with a leader brand in design and quality clothes and sportive shoes.

The player from the Tennis Academy PRO-AB TEAM, David Marrero, got in the past month, April, get the triumph in the Future that took place in Chile. The player, with an excellent tennis potential, showed his satisfaction with the triumph because it allows him to get more ATP ranking.

In agreement with the begining of all the sportive season 2003, the technical PRO-AB TEAM staff of the High Competition Center had been given, by DUNLOP SPORTS, the new raket 300 G. The announced raket, with excellent lending and quality for the competition tennis, had had a magnificent acceptance among the Academic players. Otherwise, one of the best Spanish tennis players in the actual days, Tommy Robredo, uses this model. PRO-AB TEAM, uses too the Dunlop balls like official balls of the Academy in all its centers.

Albert Montañes got into the semifinalist in the Chilean Tournament in Viña del Mar with an outstanding way of playing.

PRO-AB TEAM organizes from the 29th of March until the 6th of April, the "Torneo Marca Jóvenes Promesas". The tournament will take place in the Club Deportivo Hispano Frances.

The under-14 tennis player Ingrid Ballus played druing the past month the World Champion of her category.
